The memory sticks are SO much cheaper than they used to be and now Lexar makes compatible ones that are cheaper than Sony's actual ones. I have a 128MB stick and honestly, I almost NEVER fill it and I take all my photos at the highest 4.1MP setting. The other thing is that I've never, EVER needed anything to be the full 4.1MP size, even when printing out stuff. So you could, if you wanted to save some bucks, get a 4.1 because I can't imagine needing a 5.0MP even if you print 8X10s (since 4.1 is more than enough for that). I've used Olympus, Nikon and Canon and I must say I still love the Sony for all around use. They don't have the best lens (close), the best Zoom (it's not too shabby though) or the best memory. That being said, they are very well balanced and the battery life is awesome on the Lithiums.
